Vehicle Parking

School Parking: I would always encourage you and your children to walk, cycle or scooter to school. A bit a wake up time out in the fresh air sets children’s day off well. However, I fully appreciate some of you will need to drive at times due to work or weather. I have been in contact with the manager at Homebase, and he has very kindly allowed Stramongate parent’s use of Homebase car park. This car park is monitored by ‘Parking Eye’ cameras which allow for 90 minutes parking both for morning and afternoon times. As long as parents don’t abuse this open agreement this should work well. Further free, time limited parking is now available behind the County Offices. Parents can park there up 9:30am and again in the afternoon from 2:45pm – 3:15pm. At all other times you may receive a parking ticket. Reception parents whose children currently finish at 3:15pm, I strongly suggest you use Homebase in the afternoon if you need to park. Many thanks to Councillor Peter Thornton for brokering this initiative.
